How are you 1 already? Your first year has been nothing short of crazy! In just one year you have lived in three different homes all of which were in different states and we are days away from moving into a new house. (Thankfully we will be there for a little while!) You've been on an airplane three times. Mommy didn't go on an airplane until she was 14!
But let's get to the present time..
You are moving all over the place and you are such a happy girl! You are not walking yet (don't worry- your brother wasn't at one year either). For so so so long you did this inch worm crawl and now you do variations of crawls. Sometimes you still pull out the inchworm crawl. Other times you crawl normally. And more and more we are seeing you monkey crawl up on your hands and feet. It is quite entertaining. You can pull yourself up on tables etc. and have no problem plopping back down. We catch you cruising along the coffee table every now and then. And you love the stairs!
Your daily life is not complete without "Bear Bear". He is definitely your attachment/comfort item. I am surprised he hasn't made it into more pictures. You love this bear so much that I have been looking on amazon and ebay for replacements because he is already getting pretty worn out. And you have a hard time parting with him when he needs a bath. Sometimes I am even jealous of "Bear Bear" because when you get an ouchie you immediately want him for comfort.
Your favorite word is Dada and you love to say "Uh-oh". At dinner you are constantly trying to feed Rascal. During the day you follow Charlie around all the time. And he loves you dearly. Often he hugs you and says "I just love her so much!" Which reminds me, that you give the best hugs!!
I felt bad that we weren't around friends and family so we could throw you a big birthday bash. But you are so very very loved and we did our best to make it a special day! Grammie flew out just to celebrate your big day (And she wasn't the only one who wanted to be here just the first to book her ticket)
We were up and out of the house early to get your birthday photos. The photographer did a fantastic job but that's easy because you are sooo cute!
Then Grammie and I took you for your one year doctor appointment while Daddy and Charlie went over to the new house to put together your birthday present.
One year stats:
Length: 28 in.
Weight: 20 lbs
Height: 46 cm
Hoping you enjoy this kitchen for a few years to come! |
We didn't have any cheesecake though because we were heading home for Birthday CAKE!! Although everyone couldn't physically be there to celebrate your birthday, they all made sure they were by a computer to sing to you. You are so very very loved!
The candle on the cake scared you. But once it was out and you had a little bite you were ready to DIG IN!
I think the chocolate rush was kicking in on this photo! |
We ended the night with a few more birthday presents!
The wrapping paper is so much better than the present itself. |
We love you as much as the stars in the sky
And the sand in the sea
We love you exactly as you are
And all you'll one day be
