Place: Shrine Circus at the Orleans Casino
Cost: $18 for adult general admission ticket and $14 for kids
However our kiddos were free since they are 2 and under and we had a buy one adult get one free. So our total cost was $18.
Hours: We went to the 11am show and it ended about 1:30
Best for kids age: Kids of all ages. There just something for everyone at the circus!
On the plus side: General admission seating was more than fine so this was quite a cost efficient adventure. Despite being at a casino, you would never know we were at a casino. The entrance to the arena was completely separate from the casino and hotel. (Something this momma totally apprecaites!- no smoke no ringing bells- no corruption). Another plus, Jocelyn loved the lights and noise- so in a sense even a 5 month can enjoy the circus.
On the down side: Because acts occur all over the arena, you don't always have the best view.
Suggestions: Fortunately our little loves our too young to want want want. So for those with school aged kids be prepared for a lot of money sucking distractions during the pre-show and intermission. Elephant rides for example came at a price of $20 a person
Rating (on a scale of 1-5 stars) 4 stars- Although they scare me, when I think circus I think clowns and there were no clowns at this circus. So even though I don't love them, I think Charlie would have enjoyed.
Go again? For that price, ABSOLUTELY!
SIDENOTE: One perk to living in Las Vegas: There is constantly entertainment coming through this town. We are hoping this will give us the chance to take the kids to some great events and we will get to see some great concerts.
Posing in front of the elephants during intermission. Notice Kirby's crazy hair- he is going for a new look |
If you didn't want to ride an elephant, you could opt for a camel instead. |
