Our first play date! At Discovery Park (blogged about it earlier), we met a family who moved here from Georgia. They actually move out here a week after us. So Sarah and her girls Sydney (2) and McCauley (4) met us at Pump it Up. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures with Charlie, Jocelyn and the girls. It is so nice to have a friend who can sympathize with missing home, but who is also ready to explore this new town.
Place: Pump it Up
Cost: Free!!!! Okay not really : ( There is no charge for adults and kids under two are free so it was free for us. Otherwise it is $7 per child.
Hours: The pop-in playtimes are Monday-Friday from 9:30-12:30 or 2-5.
Okay so it is hard to tell in this picture but Charlie is playing on a small plastic slide. Yes , there were an abundance of inflatables but he spent most of his time on this slide. |
Best for kids age: 18 months and older
On the plus side: If you haven't gathered yet, pump it up is like a large gym filled with inflatables. There are slides, ball pits, a boxing arena with those big gloves etc. etc. It's a great place to visit on a cold day, rainy day, or when it's too hot to play outside. I'm not sure when this place opened up but either it was fairly recently or I give kuddos to the owners for keeping it clean and looking new.
On the down side: It wasn't crowded the day we went, but I can imagine on a packed day that I might be a worried about my little love getting trampled by some bigger kids.
Suggestions: I wish that maybe one or two time slots were designated for toddlers.
I just LOVE him!! |
Rating (on a scale of 1-5 stars) 4 stars
Go again? I'm not chomping at the bit to take the kids again, however I wouldn't be surprised if during the hot hot hot summer we venture to Pump it Up again.
