Place: Swim lessons at the Henderson Multigenerational Center
Cost: $24 for 6 weeks
Hours: 11:50-12:20
Best for kids age: The swimming lessons that Charlie is signed up for are designed for kids as young as 6 months. He'll continue in the lessons until he starts to show signs of swimming independently.
Just relaxing at the pool and anticipating her turn to swim one day |
On the plus side: I think I about freaked when I discovered these swimming lessons were only $24 dollars for 6 half hour sessions. Being that I once taught swim lessons at the YMCA, I knew this was a bargain but I had to do a little research to figure out just how great of a deal it is. At home the swimming lessons would be about $60 for eight sessions. And on top of that we would have to pay a $90 a month for membership. No membership fees at the Multigenerational Center. So $240 versus $24! Hopefully my freaking out is justified now.
On the down side: So far the lessons have met and exceeded our expectations. The only downside is that the ideal time slots (for us anyway) fill up fast.
Suggestions: Pick out the time you want and be ready to sign up on the first day
Rating (on a scale of 1-5 stars) 5 stars
Go again? We plan on signing Charlie up for a second session.
Our little fish loves jumping in, blowing bubbles, and he'll even go underwater with us. Could a future of swim meets be ahead of us???? |
